Envisage being dropped in a foreign country with no knowledge of the language and only being 16 years old . . . now imagine that country is Chinese speaking Taiwan. That’s what I did. Thanks to Rotary International I was able to spend a full year living in JongLi city during my Jr. year of high school. I learned so much during my exchange and today I’m going to share with you some of the tricks I used to navigate Taiwanese culture and understand Chinese, before I really understood Chinese. LISTEN
